Terranova Bhutan Tours
Introduction & Scope
Terranova Tour operates under License No. 1054435, issued by the Department of Tourism, Bhutan, the government’s regulatory authority for tourism. By booking with us, you agree to these terms and conditions. Please review them carefully before confirming your trip.
Prices & Surcharges
All prices are quoted in USD and can be converted into JPY, EUR, or GBP based on prevailing exchange rates. A single supplement applies for solo travellers requesting private accommodations.
Deposits & Payments
A deposit of 50% of the tour cost is required at the time of booking. The remaining balance must be settled 45 days before arrival. For bookings made within 45 days of the travel date, full payment is required upfront. Certain tours, including luxury accommodations, may require higher deposits, which will be communicated prior to booking confirmation.
Young Travelers
Guests under 18 must travel with a parent, guardian, or responsible adult. Adults accompanying minors are responsible for their behaviour and safety throughout the trip.
Airfare
Tour costs exclude international and domestic airfare unless explicitly mentioned. Flights may be arranged upon request.
Travel Documentation
Guests must carry a passport valid for at least six months from their intended departure from Bhutan and provide a passport-sized photo. Bhutanese visas and permits will be arranged by us; however, securing visas for other countries remains the traveller’s responsibility. We are not liable for denied entry due to incomplete documentation.
Gratuities
Gratuities for guides, drivers, and trekking staff are not included in the package and are discretionary.
Third-Party Services
External service providers may be recommended upon request. While we carefully select providers, we cannot guarantee their service quality or accept liability for any issues arising from their services.
Changes by the Company
We reserve the right to make itinerary adjustments due to unforeseen circumstances. Clients will be promptly informed of any changes.
Changes by the Client
Any requested changes to bookings must be confirmed in writing. While we strive to accommodate changes, availability cannot be guaranteed, and additional costs may apply.
Cancellation Policy
Cancellation must be submitted in writing and will incur fees based on the notice period:
Up to 30 days prior: USD 145 administrative fee per person.
29–21 days prior: 10% of the total tour cost.
20–14 days prior: 25% of the total tour cost.
13–7 days prior: 35% of the total tour cost.
Less than 7 days: 60% of the total tour cost.

Refund-related bank charges are borne by the client.
Different cancellation policies may apply to luxury services and airlines.
Public Holidays
During local holidays, religious events, or festivals, some facilities may be unavailable. Alternative arrangements will be made where possible, but we are not liable for such disruptions.
Liability Limitations
Travel involves risks beyond our control, including those posed by natural forces, transportation, political conditions, and remote locations. While we take safety precautions, clients must accept these inherent risks.
Travel Insurance
Tour packages do not include insurance. Travelers must secure comprehensive coverage from their home country, including cancellation, curtailment, and emergency evacuation insurance. Helicopter airlift insurance is strongly recommended for high-altitude treks.
