The Motithang Takin Preserve
It was established in the early 1970s and was created to protect the takin, Bhutan’s national animal. Tashichho Dzong
Built in the 17th century by Zhabdrung Ngawang Namgyal, Tashichho Dzong has served as a fortress, religious centre, and administrative hub. If you choose to use horses to ascend towards Taktsang, please note:
